''Let There be Love''

My best films around the globe released in 2018. — December 31, 2018

My best films around the globe released in 2018.

The most beautiful films released in 2018 that make you fall in love with.

Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, Jurassic World: Fallen World, Incredibles 2, Venom, Mission Impossible: Fallout and Deadpool 2 are such names that all the world audiences generally are familiar with. And the simple reason is because those all are big studios released. Those are popular, having big stars, made in luxury budgets.  Beside this there is great cinema that’s made independent or less known studios but those are highly powerful, meaningful that we will be proud of. Here is the list of 5 most beautiful films of the year 2018:

5.Bo Burnham directorial debut this coming of age film ‘Eight Grade’ is naturalistic tale of 13 years old Koyla played by Elsie Fisher and her volcanic wave of endurance of contemporary suburban adolescence. All that this film keeps are feels, hurts and laughs altogether. Eight Grade shows us that how the teenagers are hell addicted to social media that causes them to be so tangible towards their parents, friends and people around there. Fisher is so fabulous playing this poignant, sensitive and emotional of middle schooler. I just marvel Burnham for bringing up this great ‘Eight Grade’.

4.BlaKkKlansman is about racism in USA sets in early 70s. Story runs around Colarado Spring Police Department first African-American detective Ron Stallworth wonderfully played by John David Washington and how he sets out a risky mission to infiltrate and uncover the Ku Klux Klan ( A white protestant people secret organization that promotes violence against black people, Jews and other minorities). I think ‘BlacKkKlansman is finest of Spike Lee till date and most galvanizing movie of this year. This film is already in news after nominating in Golden Globe Award and many more awards.

3.‘Roma’ is a masterful craft by Academy Award winner Mexican legend Alfonso Cuaron. It’s filmed in the time of social hierarchy and political unrest in Mexico during year of 1970s. It’s just engrossing, thrilling and singular. This film tears you apart through its detailing in every aspect. Whether it’s cinematography that’s done by Cuaron hilself, or life of protagonist Cleo played by non-professional newcomer Yalitza Aparicio. Roma is totally winner in my viewing. This film has garnered very much attention from all over world and nominated for Academy Award for best foreign language category.

2.Number 2 in my list is ‘Love Simon’. Though we’ve long list of LGBT movies or gay couple movies but this one really seems to be groundbreaking work on many levels and mainly because it’s mainstream released film. Plots in film have a full pack of emotion, humor and nuggets of brilliance. Protagonist ‘Simon’ played by young Nick Robinson is just beautiful and obviously makes us fall in love with him throughout the film. The most endearing thing in this film is that their parents and principle. They’re most supportive and caring for what they come to know about their children/students sexual identities. Kudos to director Greg Barlenti for this most powerful film of this year.

1. And here is the Lee Chang-Dong’s sixth feature ‘’Burning’’ at top of my list for 2018. What a mystery evokes from this Korean master! Burning just amazed me. The mystery I saw in this film was the mystery I had longed for times after David Fincher’s Zodiac (2006) and Spielberg’s Shutter Island (2010). However I put it above both mentioned films. Beautifully designed characters, their flow, their terrific performance and measured dialogues were exceptional. As we know Lee Chang-Dong is expertise in screenplay and storyboarding and with this film he has grown further. Dong’s choice of execution is vital, with hush, spacey and demanding shots of Korean countryside becoming the source of this story’s potential. This film was selected for Palme d’Or at 2018 Cannes Film Festival and South Korean entry for Best Foreign Language Film at 91st Academy Awards.
